Our Story
Every great idea begins with a personal experience.
For founder Kimberly Humphries, that experience came from watching technology become an increasingly important part of everyday life for her parents. Staying connected with family, accessing essential online services, managing personal accounts, and recognizing online scams all required skills that many people had never been taught.
That realization sparked an important question: What if technology education was simpler, more practical, and available to everyone?
What began as a mission to help older adults gain confidence with technology has grown into a broader vision. Today, ElderByte Academy provides technology education and digital skills training for individuals, organizations, and communities of all ages.
Through hands on instruction, practical learning experiences, and a commitment to lifelong education, we help learners build confidence, strengthen digital skills, and navigate today's technology with greater independence.
Our mission is simple: to make technology easier to understand, safer to use, and more accessible for everyone.
