Amiya Jones serves as a member of the Board of Advisors for ElderByte, where she also leads the organization's social media strategy and digital engagement. A Prince George's County, Maryland native, Amiya graduated from Bowie High School in 2021 before earning a Bachelor of Science in Information Science and Technology with a minor in Security and Risk Analysis from The Pennsylvania State University.

Although her early interests centered around arts and creative design, Amiya discovered her passion for technology after enrolling in an introductory Information Technology course at the recommendation of an academic advisor. That experience inspired her to pursue a career in cybersecurity and information technology, shaping both her academic and professional journey.

Currently, Amiya is pursuing a graduate degree in Homeland Security with a concentration in Cyber Threat Analytics and Prevention at Penn State's J. Jeffrey and Ann Marie Fox Graduate School. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a research assistant under Dr. Earl Catagnus Jr., where she co-authored a publication exploring the trustworthiness of predictive artificial intelligence technologies.

Amiya also completed an internship as an Information Support Specialist with Tech Guides and has earned more than 15 industry certifications in Information Technology, reflecting her commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

As a member of the ElderByte leadership team, Amiya combines her passion for technology, cybersecurity, and digital communication to help advance the organization's mission of empowering older adults with the knowledge and confidence to navigate today's digital world. She is dedicated to making technology approachable, secure, and accessible while helping ElderByte expand its reach and impact within the community.
